CASE STUDY: UNIVISION - Improving Human Resource’s Performance: Exploring Leadership Productivity and Organization Performance
Striving to keep pace with brutal competition and fast moving markets, companies must focus their attention on continually aligning human resources strategies with industry best practices to improve business performance. Roberto Llamas has had senior leadership roles with some the country’s highest performing businesses and has recently been involved in the transformation of three Companies. Lately, he has been helping Univision improve its business performance through the implementation of effective organization processes, differentiated resource allocation, and improved leadership productivity. This presentation offers an industry front-runner perspective on how to best put into practice new initiatives to enhance organization and leadership performance, establish a merit-based culture, as well as identify and develop talent. Mr. Llamas will also suggest ways in which Hispanic professionals can improve their own effectiveness and enhance the management of their careers.

Roberto Llamas, EVP, Chief Human Resources Officer, Univision

EMPLOYEE RESOURCE GROUPS PANEL: Developing Skills for the Next Generation of Corporate Leaders
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are no longer small, informal groups for people with common identities and interests. With increased focus and attention by corporations to the specific interests of Latinos, ERGs now provide valuable resources for advanced leadership and growth opportunities. More than just focusing on career advancement, ERGs help companies expand into new markets, exert influence, create meaningful messaging, and build opportunities for shared success. This panel will investigate the evolving role of ERGs and how they can facilitate professional development, advocate networking, promote business growth and mentor the next generation through impactful support.
