Princeton, NJ, May 2, 2016 — HISPA (Hispanics Inspiring Students’ Performance and Achievement) will unite Latino professionals with 150 San Antonio students from Anson Jones Middle School at St. Mary’s University for a youth conference on Friday, May 13 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hosted by the St. Mary’s Office of Student Retention with Annual Partner Educational Testing Service (ETS), the daylong conference, themed “Take Action! Achieve Your Dreams” fosters a college-going culture by exposing Latino youth to life on a university campus and a variety of careers open to those with a college education.
A Role Model for HISPA’s Role Models
Princeton, N.J., March 10, 2016 – HISPA is pleased to announce that Rod Colón has joined the organization’s team as Role Model Development Director. Rod brings over 25 years of experience to the position, in which he will focus on the recruitment, retention, and professional development of HISPA volunteers. An accomplished executive coach and professional speaker, he will also support HISPA by consulting with partner organizations and advising employee resource groups on best practices. Read more
