Latino Professionals Inspire Youth to Dream at Princeton Youth Conference

June 5 Conference to Focus on Role Models and STEM Careers, Will Feature Award-Winning Physicist Luis Delgado-Aparicio
Princeton, NJ, June 5, 2015 – Hispanic professionals will share their personal and professional journeys with middle school students during a youth conference themed “Take Action! Achieve your Dreams” at Princeton University on Friday, June 5 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This is the 15th conference and the 7th at Princeton University by Hispanics Inspiring Students’ Performance and Achievement (HISPA), a nonprofit that connects Hispanic role models and middle school students to empower youth to work hard, graduate high school, and go on to higher education. The conference is co-sponsored by the Office of Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion at Princeton University. Students will come from Elizabeth, Hackensack, New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, and Princeton. Read more

San Antonio, TX – Hispanic professionals from diverse backgrounds will share their educational and professional journeys with middle school students during a youth conference themed “Take Action! Achieve your Dreams,” at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX on Friday, May 16, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This is the fourth annual youth conference hosted by Hispanics Inspiring Students’ Performance and Achievement (HISPA), a nonprofit organization that connects Hispanic role models and middle school students with the goal of improving students’ academic performance and achievement. ESPN, CUNY, LRN and PRISM Join With HISPA to Inspire Students

Princeton, NJ, April 2, 2015 – Over one hundred middle school students will gather at John Jay College in New York on April 2 to learn about STEM careers and hear success stories. The Youth Conference is titled “Take Action! Achieve Your Dreams” and is hosted by Hispanics Inspiring Student Performance and Achievement (HISPA), the Latina Researchers Network (LRN) and the Program for Research Initiatives in Science and Math (PRISM) in partnership with the City University of New York (CUNY) and ESPN as lead sponsor.

Employees Volunteer their Time to Inspire Middle School Students

Princeton, NJ, January 13, 2015 – Hispanics Inspiring Students’ Performance and Achievement (HISPA) will recognize volunteers and present awards at its 7th annual Three Kings (the three Wise Men) banquet on January 15 at the Hotel Woodbridge in Metropark, N.J. starting at 6 p.m. The event gathers some 300 corporate, nonprofit, government, education and other leaders. The banquet celebrates the contributions of the 1,500 supporters and volunteers who participate in the HISPA Role Model Program sharing their stories with middle school students and inspiring them to stay in school, graduate and use education as a way to fulfill their dreams.
