HISPA partners with New Futuro joining National Latino Education Initiative

On Saturday, October 20, 2012 the New Futuro College Prep Fair arrives to New York. Tens of thousands of Latino families will convene at The Apex at Lehman College for the opportunity to find the tools and resources they need to get their students into college and beyond. New York is the third stop in a five-city tour for New Futuro, an Hispanic education community supported by over 300 partners from across the country, including HISPA, The New York Department of Education, The White House, Teach for America, Lumina Foundation, Stanford University, Allstate Insurance and others.

The free event, a college prep fair for Latino families presented by Allstate, provides thousands of dollars in scholarships, hundreds of bilingual representatives from universities, colleges, and community organizations, dozens of small educational sessions with college and career experts, a televised education focused town-hall, and more.
