& RECRUITING EVENTS
Our Kick-Off and Recruiting Events, typically held in the fall, begin the school year by promoting our mission and encouraging current and potential role models to register for upcoming volunteer opportunities.
THE GOALS
-> Showcase our host organization.
-> Announce HISPA’s sponsors and partner schools for that academic year.
-> Teach attendees about HISPA’s mission and achievements.
-> Inspire professionals with the impact they can have as role models.
-> Recruit and engage these professionals to register as HISPA Role Models.
-> Provide professional development for HISPA Role Models and volunteers.
PAST KICK-OFF & RECRUITING EVENT HOSTS
Since 2008, HISPA has hosted Role Model Program Kick-Off and Recruiting Events in New Jersey, Florida, New York City, and San Antonio. Hosts, funders, sponsors, and partners have included: Alamo Colleges District, AT&T, the City of Miami – Office of the Mayor, Columbia University, Comcast, ESPN, Johnson & Johnson, Kean University, La Casa Latina: Center for Hispanic Excellence and the Latin@ Coalition, Merck, Microsoft, NJIT, Novartis, Ogilvy & Mather, PNC Bank, Prudential, PSE&G, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, University of Miami, University of Pennsylvania, University of Texas – San Antonio, UPS, Wells
