Kathleen is an Executive Coach and former Vice President of Human Resources, AT&T. In consulting, she leverages her 25+ years of corporate leadership experience working with senior leaders in business and not-for-profit organizations. She focuses on strengthening leadership in the areas of Human Capital Management, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Leadership Development and Succession Planning.

Kathleen has a passion for impacting companies’ top and bottom lines through innovative HR practices. Her experience across various lines of business, mergers and acquisitions, coupled with numerous roles in human capital disciplines provides an integrated approach to consulting engagements. She’s an advocate of the benefits of authentic leadership and effective human capital management and has demonstrated that when coupled with strong financial management, shareowners and constituents prosper.

Throughout her career, Kathleen has supported countless community and charitable organizations. She serves on the Board of Directors for HISPA (Hispanics Inspiring Students’ Performance and Achievement) in New Jersey and on the HR Committee to My Possibilities, in Texas. In addition, she has served in various leadership capacities on behalf of several internal and external community-outreach organizations.

Kathleen has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Farleigh Dickinson University, and a Masters of Science in Management from Lesley University, Cambridge, Massachusetts. She is married to Frank Sonnenberg, MD and they have two sons, Daniel and Jonathan. She is an avid theatre-goer and Pilates enthusiast.
